Bikerider and the Chinook Rose consists of One person at the moment. ME !! Richard Arthurs. I have been writing and playing music for many decades. As a result I have a large catalogue of songs. It's over 1100 now. That's OVER one THOUSAND !!! Sounds like a lot, but, writing an average of 30 to 40 songs a year, over time will accumulate.
I've done recordings over the years. None of them I care to share anymore. I'm presently recording and re-recording all my songs using a computer, Pro Tools, lots of plugins and many instruments. I'll be recording two versions of each song. An acoustic - vocal version and a full band version. This is going to take me years to complete. I have no illusions about that.
As with all my previous recordings, I'll be playing all the instruments, doing the recording, engineering, producing. I have asked others to come join the fun, but no takers... Not yet anyways.
What style is my music... It's a mash of everything I've listened to over the years: Am radio, FM radio, Internet Radio, Rock, with blendings of Blues, Folk, with tints of Ska, Reggae, with touches of Jazz and probably some Country too. I don't limit myself with how a song is structured or played. Every song is individual: Even the multipart ones. I've received comments that range from Pink Floyd to Dylan and the Beatles. People see bits of what they enjoy in my music.
I did have two medleys comprised of 18 songs here from my 2007 RPM participation. I'm not participating this year. Other things fill my calendar this year. As I have new songs I'll be posting them.
Today (Feb 18, 08) I have one new song posted. It is a preliminary - pre mastered mix. It's still a bit rough on the edges. It's the first of a collection of songs with a Celebrate Theme. It is also the first part of a multi part song. More songs will be coming.... eventually.

"We all admire the spangled acrobat with classical grace meticulously walking his tight rope in the talcum light; but how much rarer art there is in the sagging rope expert wearing scarecrow clothes and impersonating a grotesque drunk! I should know." Thank you for your friendship! Musical greetings from Munich/Germany!
