amazingly enough, i am nothing and everything all at the same time. i cannot be defined by a page floating in cyberspace. you cannot truly know me through this medium of expression.
how is it that we as a society, as a creation that exists--no, thrives--on human interaction invent means by which we may distance ourselves from that interaction? we claim to create technology to draw us closer, when instead we use it to distance ourselves. do we like this separation, these pretty walls made of HTML?
i, for one, have fallen prey to this fanciful demon. so i'm working on breaking down those walls. i'm working on coming back to the place of a child. i'm kindling the fire in my heart. and that fire will burn down any wall, made out of any stone. that fire will purge away every affinity not from His hand, every wish that has become the idol of need, and every aspect of my heart that is not 100% devoted to Him. that fire will awaken the dead in me.
"i run in the path of your commands, for you have set my heart free." (psalm 119:32)

Also.. I see someone was in a switchfoot mood when they selected the songs for their player. Which is good. And I need to get around to reading The Catcher in the Rye.

I really like the Phil Wickham song. He was on the Relevant Podcast 2 weeks ago performing several songs from his upcoming album. Sounds like this one should be better than the label debut.
