Hey Carissa! heh I'm just now seeing the comment you left me two weeks ago. Sorry I didn't write back earlier I haven't been on the internet for a few weeks. But yes, I'm in Alaska! Peter, Stephen Olson and I got here around June 20th, and it's been pretty crazy. Stephen and Peter are on a boat together with their captain, a guy named Steve, and he's.. actually crazy. He's very unique. I have limitless thankfulness to the Lord for not letting me be on a boat with the man. He used to do Meth, Heroine, and a whole lot more, and I think it messed his mind up. He's often a jerk and he lies a lot and he tries to cause dissension between everyone. He's not all bad though. The drama he causes is sort of our main source of entertainment. I'm on a boat with an older guy named Barry and his son Kalgin, who's 20 also, and they're pretty cool, except that being father and son, they often yell and make sarcastic comments to one another, and it's awkward just standing there in the middle of it all. But the experience has been a good one so far! It's definitely developing our characters, and helping us to develop patience. The season, fishing-wise, however, has totally sucked so far. It would be a bummer if we didn't catch much by the end, but it wouldn't be too big of a deal to me.. that's life sometimes. But Peter, Stephen and I are getting along pretty well, and things are good overall! This summer's been good. Sorry I just wrote a boatload. So how's your summer been?!

Heeeey! (yep, ahaha I think Mikkel is still doing it) Oh man Carissa, what a miserable week! I feel so bad for you; all three of those things are completely terrible. Especially your cell phone; what are you going to do!? JK, lol. Wow, I really admire your attitude about it all though. Not to be weird or creepy or anything, plus I'm not hitting on you, but your outlook and just your character have always been really encouraging to see and be around! It's impressive how in love with God you are; you seem really grounded in your faith. And if it's encouraging to me, I'm sure it's a huge encouragement to everyone you interact with! Yep. Eh sorry that seemed like it was from out of no where, but I was struck by it all as I read your comment. But anyways, wow so far your break seems pretty fun. Do you ever get lonely living in that house all by yourself, and doing all that stuff all alone? When I have no contact with other people for a while I get pretty lonely, but I bet work helps. Well I hope being home goes well for you! You don't have to share a room with anyone, do you? Then I would totally understand your fear. Let me know how it goes! Yep, I'm gad I'm going to be with those two guys. I think we'll all get along really well, though working hard for hours on a little boat in the middle of a raging storm off of a few hours of sleep definitely tests your relationships, especially when you go through that for three days in a row. Yes, I'm so glad and thankful that housing worked out! Oh my gosh, that was a crappy process. I think God was working through the whole thing, because this is one of the best results I could have hoped for. Welll I'll catch you later, this is a pretty dang long message. Hey Carissa! How's your summer been so far? What have you been doing? Ummm well for the first two weeks here, life was incredibly, incredibly boring. And for a week of it my parents were gone on vacation, so it was pretty lonely, too. But I've been hanging out with people a lot more, so it's getting a lot better. Hopefully you'll have a better time when you go home! At least you've got brothers and sisters to hang out with. Ah I'm not quite ready for Alaska; my summer is just starting to get fun, but that's okay because it's not for another month. I'm just really excited to be working with Steven and Peter. It will be awesome! Hey guess what, John and I are in an apartment together next year with Gabe and Jerome. Cool, huh? John just called me!! it was sooo good to hear his voice and talkt to him! Its weird cuz its already almost 10 pm there. he said he might get more time on a computer in the next few days so maybe he will comment us....and then we won' t look so lame! hahah! oh, and i will definitely respond to your latest novel!
