By Faith is a band of Christian brothers who have overcome the snares of addiction and homelessness as a result thereof those very addictions, now ministering to those with the music of experience, love and hope. A near death bleed out brought on by massive cocaine use got Steve's attention that the madness was goingto end in one way or the other . (You can see the bloody pic in PHOTOS).
BY FAITH feels that it's mission is to reach the lost street people in rehabs and homeless centers, as 3 of us in the band were quite familiar with those places being our only source of help for us in the midst of our madness
Steve, Ramon, and Jeff are all successful graduates of the Salvation Army Adult Rehab Center in Jacksonville, FL. We have seen men, (including ourselves), come in that place tore up from the floor up, and then be restored and regenerated into men of God where no god existed before.
Steve feels that although church is great and important, the unsaved and self-condemned people aren't in the church. They are outside. You gotta pick a harvest outside in the field...America is that very mission field.
If I can reach a man or woman with my songs and lyrics, and get them to think..."Wow! This guy is singing about the way I feel, and giving me a solution that worked for him,"then I am blessed to be that voice of a solution; And "The Solution", is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ...
Steve is currently in Titusville FL, restoring family ties that needed healing after his first year of solid sobriety. We hope to get back together soon and record these songs in cd quality. God is certainly moving and giving you guys a great niche to fill. Praise the Lord!! Hello Steve, Thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement. Yes, I am very fond of "It's By Faith" also. I wrote it on the piano as a prayerful ballad and then adapted it for the record. When we play it live it is actually much more "driving" than on the record. Well, you asked about the CD.
