The person writing is just another one with lots of free time (never enough, though) and the desire of telling everyone what he thinks is important for them. That being said, he’s like everyone else (a little uglier, maybe). You may call him Bukowski (or even Charles, although it’s not his real name), and he may seem more intelligent than he really is. Despite what you might think, he’s 19, and a poet.
He likes: long walks around Seville during winter while listening to some jazz from the 40s. He likes coffee and a good pipe (St. Bruno tobacco, please). He likes reading on a big sofa, and wasting time seeing his favorite movies over and over again. He likes staring at the sea. He likes women. He likes reading better than writing. He takes his iPod wherever he goes, filled with good music: jazz, blues, soul, funk, r&b, hip hop, house, electro, techno, classical, opera… He likes York, and London, and New York, and Tokyo (though he never went to NYC or Tokyo). He likes kissing.
He doesn’t like: people who shout (even when on the phone). Noise, in general. He hates people without a personal taste. The fact that his birthday is the 30th of July, too (everyone gone to the beach and everything…). He likes mountains better than beaches. He doesn’t really like eating fish. He doesn’t like forgetting important things (although he does this quite a lot). He doesn’t like university, either. He hates abortion. He hates “based-on-a-true-story” movies. He doesn’t like punk or Dadaism.
Ten things you should know about me:
1. I drink. And I smoke. If you don’t like people who smoke or drink, don’t even talk to me.
2. I’m a rude and stroppy.
3. I prefer silence to most conversations.
4. I like watching TV shows I loved when I was a child.
5. I tend to speak about things that are important for me (maybe only for me): literature, poetry, philosophy… Please, interrupt me if I’m talking nonsense. I didn’t mean to.
6. I LOVE pretty women.
7. I really like taking pictures, but at it I’m worse than writing poems.
8. I don’t know how to save money. I like spending, spending, spending.
9. I wear glasses. And I like it.
10. In politics, I’m usually right-winged.
Sorry for my crappy English, it’s a bit rusty.

"We all admire the spangled acrobat with classical grace meticulously walking his tight rope in the talcum light; but how much rarer art there is in the sagging rope expert wearing scarecrow clothes and impersonating a grotesque drunk! I should know." Thank you for your friendship! Musical greetings from Munich/Germany!
