'so lo so fi [WM082] is the latest free brunk release at WM recordings .

Some old recordings... and some very old recordings. ;-) A wayward naieve strange melancholic lofi pop diy view on things... This album contains songs recorded somewhere between 2000 and 2005. Some more unclassifiable d.i.y. homerecordings, hard to pigeonhole but somehow very recogniseable. More lo-fi, perhaps less accesible than its precedors 'sept 2003' and 'none of the above' - but, well... hopefully a surprising and pleasing listening experience :)

'none of the above' : download at www.wmrecordings.com

'none of the above'... some more brunk songs made between 2003 and 2005. Contains some vague questions like: is Ralph goodlooking? Are you a writer? And what is that writing device? Is there trash on this recording? And who the hell is Klaas? Can I sing, or shouldn't I? Is this too mellow? And what's finally lost? Well... hopefully you've got a good time looking for it :)

'sept 2003' : download at WM Recordings.

The music on 'sept 2003' was made somewhere between 2000 and september 2003. This is the more melodic and accessible side of brunk, I guess... sometimes funny, and at the same time melancholic... yes: it actually has quite a pop kitsch factor! (be it with some twists now and then...) It might be a surprise to people who only know my recent work. Well, I'd say just check it out -it's free!- and let me know what you think :)

'spondylitis ankylosans' : download at Dog Eared Records.

Some rough, unpolished and unedited one-take improvisations on randomly detuned electric guitar, with use of a loopstation, recorded in august 2007.

"12 unclassifiable guitar pieces, sometimes terse, often abrasive, a chemistry set burping red and orange flares over a cheerful radioactive green background... neither improv, noise, psychedelia, angular jazz rock dissonance nor Loren Mazzacane Connors inspired musings, brunk's work flexes all over the map leaving behind iodine stains and cigarrette burns... and some studied moments of visceral beauty." (E. Padilla)

brunk?

There's a sign at the acces road saying "Welcome home, citizans of brunkville! Free the camp. Mind the dead ends and empty roundabouts. Thank you. Come again." I guess that says it all..."
