WHAT IS THE BENEFIT OF THE BOOMERANG?
Pretentious beatwork-a-holic Jordy Timmermans has been contaminating his broken dancemusic with dramatic scores and bombastic compositions, creating a ruff 'n tuff theatre of energetic breaks and suggestive melodies. Inspired by jungle, jazz, techno and classical, 'Benefit of the Boomerang' wants to turn up the intensity of dancemusic to level eleven, by molesting melody and rythm to fit the demented demand.
The result is a rythmic conspiracy, seeking the boundries of danceability, without using wet distortion to compensate the lack of talent. Polkafunk, pornelectro, ravecandy and pocketcore, this music is like an openheart operation at thirteen degrees Kelvin: pretty cool.
Music is like sound, but then slightly different.
------------
"Benefit of the Boomerang is an electronic music producer, who really
likes beats, which is probably the reason why there's such an awful lot
of those in BotB's tracks. But it makes it very upbeat, I guess."
- Dick Smucky
"It sounds like circuscat katanacore bonanza."
- J.G.H Willscrotum
"Very fast and loud shit, so you can't really make out if it's any good
from a musical point of view, but that's the best thing about breakcore."
- Leena 'The Brute' Forshkin
When I listen to BotB I hear Satan speaking.
- Mr Mark Dollin
"I know that some people consider BotB to be a cheap and pretentious digital drumprogramming gimmick, but those people forget that this is dramatic drugmusic and it is meant to make you feel like slicing your own aorta. Besides, four-to-the-floor beats are sooo 90's."
- The Porngroove Collective
"Benefit of the Boomerang is so hot you can cook a hog's ass with
a spoon full. Absolutely Smegmatronic!"
- Bill Splate
"When I grew tired of snorting K with all my squatter buddies, I decided to sell my soul to musical content and ended up listening Benefit of the Boomerang on repeat, telling myself it would do me and my addiction good. Now I'm a pot smoking rasta, watching anime on the net, reciting goth poetry with my new SecondLife friends! Thank you, BotB!"
- Broekhoest
Thanks for the comment, I think you are the first to appreciate Les RĂªves (means The Dreams), which was inspired mostly by Bogdan and between 2am and 7am on a very fucked up day... Yeah, I'm trying really hard to not kill myself accidently during those botb trips hehehe. I would move to netherlands just to enjoy your live performances.. Gimme 2-3 years and I'm there lol.
