Big Gym is a Belgian rock band risen from the ashes of Apostle's Bar in late 2004.
It sounds power pop, with influences like Grandaddy, Weezer, Bloc Party, dEUS. Band members however assume a far wider range of influences, from dEUS to Mouse on Mars with regular touches of electro.

The initial formation gathered Miguel Ortiz, Michel Musial, Arnaud Bronsart and Gerard Simonon who left the band in the beginning of 2005 to be replaced by rookie bassist Chris Wathelet. Mike Gillon joined in 2006. Together they released their first self-produced 4-titles demo named Monsters and Paradise.
Mid-2006, guitarist Arnaud Bronsart left. Simultaneously synth Lunch joined. In early 2007, Mike had to leave. He's been replaced by Geo Bernier from Fastonic.
