Moved in France since 1986, the canadian brothers Jan & Ilia COBB have started their musical venture by playing during 10 years in bars, clubs and festivals of France and Belgium, with their famous bands "Monsters of Plants", "Ça Plaît Aux Filles" and "Neil" (Fair 97).
At last they give birth in early 2001 to "Austin Newcomers", a 2 brothers band, rejoin later by a new guitarist (Boris, ex-Ginkgo), a tough bassist and an experienced drummer.
Now that 5 men combo is delivering a sparkling rock music, showing feelings and frankness to an untrue creativity.
After some months between stage and recording studios, the band reveals us "Grand Opening", an impressive first album that offers us everything and more than we could imagine.
Glittering tunes, mighty guitars and inflexible rhythmics are playing - with an obvious knack - with a smart mix of sensibility and efficiency to support the spellbinding Jan's voice.
A powerfull and harmonious album, mastered in Brussels by Alan Ward (The Gathering, Lou Reed, Dominique A, Zita Swoon, Yan Tiersen), which they're playing with aplomb on stage, where they already met The Servant, Rhesus, HushPuppies, The Paddingtons, Dalhia, AS Dragon or Deportivo... and many others (Eurockéennes festival, ...) !
Ilia Cobb - guitars
Guisb - drums
Boris - guitars
Jan Cobb - lead vocal
Lemmy - bass guitar
