Bagpipe and drum music group Auli was founded in 2003. A few of group members have already played in the first bagpipe group in Latvia - Dudinieki, which was formed in 1994. Regardless of the fact that there was scare evidence left of bagpipe and drum playing traditions, both instruments were mentioned in the folklore materials. The music pieces reflect creative approach of the group members. Auli`s repertoire contains dance and bagpipe melodies including tunes of other European peoples as well as drum pieces.

I love the drum work! Very nice. I just listened in a busy loud room but I want to give it try at home in my studio. Very interesting rhythms. Can't wait to hear it proper.
