Atmoravi is a serious performer who stands alone if one looks at the state of music in Belarus. “I am an unreciprocated broadcast on my own frequency”, he sings encoding mystic messages in the lyrics coming out of electric pseudo-folk breaking through to the astral songwriting that requires full involvement from the listener. The result turns out to be a melancholy and beautifully arranged alternative pop-music sung by a wonderful man who performs on different european stages alone using a bunch of guitar pedals. Deep individuality of this record could appear too cumbersome if not for the impeccable melodies and free from stereotypes arrangements that are far away from typical “white russian style”. “Chertopoloh” is an album of an European level that forces you to believe that we are not as lost as we might think we are.
