anonymi is a primarily digital artist, but also an adept instrumentalist and percussionist. He was a founder member of the briefly legendary but now sadly dispersed Weird Attractors, as well as having various experience in classical orchestras, folk bands, and random jam sessions down the pub. Accordingly, his music blends folk styles with polyrhythmic breakbeat/drum'n'bass, rich orchestral harmonies and stupid bass.
anonymi tunes have been commissioned for local and international circus / dance performances as well as being heard in clubs and festivals. He has worked particularly with Canopy Trapeze (Georgia, USA), tePOOKa (Scotland) and recently with NVA (Scotland). He has produced two full length CD collections. The Voice From Nowhere (2001-2002) is only available by direct email enquiry, while Song of the Liondog (2003) can be found at Noisehead.com.
anonymi has produced remixes for U.S. fiddler Andrew Heaton (Packway Handle Band, forthcoming release) and the Weird Attractors ( Earshot Recordings). His Aurora/Venturi tracks formed the debut 2006 release for Digibeats Music, but the other tracks from 2006-7 are looking for a new home, since the Neon-Wave label folded.
Based in Edinburgh, Scotland, but currently in Japan.
