The sign of a true friend is someone who lifts you straight back up mere seconds after your face slams into the floor. They are the same person who carve and hack away at any stubbornness and pretentiousness on your part and they do so with a blunt tone and an incisive knowledge.
The signs of someone who loves you, is that they will do both those things without any hesitation. They have your well-being as their main focus and they will defend it at all costs, with a passion and with unyielding grit, strength and determination.
When someone loves you, they will allow themselves to be vulnerable, they will let you share their most private moments and they will constantly exceed all your expectations. They are the people whom; when they come face to face with the real you, eye to eye, soul to soul - don't flinch.
