i'm pretty simplistic and learning to be so even more each day...mostly i'm quite quasi-sentimental about this life, however i enjoy the small, but good things ...like a good cup of coffee, the way the air smells right before it rains, hands and the way a light can hit them just right to cast a shadow, good books and poems, laughter with friends, good movies, road trips, an intelligent conversation, board games, fresh cut grass, sunrises and sunsets, being barefoot in the grass or on a beach, a good band, npr on Saturday, church on Sunday, art, showers, standing in the rain and feeling alive, solitude, words on paper, glances of unspoken words, the prominent parallels between seasons, the way eyes can tell you everything you need to know, wildflowers, a good metaphor, a winding creek, camping and the God who created all of these...i've learned in life that not too many things are certain, the exceptions being God and change. i've made my share of mistakes and i'm in the process of trying to undo some of them...i've got a way to go yet, but each day is a learning experience. i find myself to be indecisive and uncommitted, God's the only thing i've found that is worth committing to and deciding upon forever, and to that end i hope i can build a life lived for Him.
