Born In Kingston, Jamaica. Mikkel Burrowes, (77klash) pronounced two seven klash began his musical career by playing percussion in the "One Blood Band", the backing band for reggae pop star Junior Reid. Leaving Kingston behind at the age of 12 He got his first big break in 2005 when the Turbulence tune "Notorious" (produced By 77klash) went #1 on the Jamaican charts for four straight weeks. The tune peaked at #2 on the BBC1 Extra and stayed on the top ten reggae charts for the 3 months that followed. Klash brought back drum and bass to dancehall with the "Skallawa Riddim". Following up on the success of his PunkCrunk riddim, "The Swarm" was the next big riddim to hit the streets . This track features cultural artists like Lutan Fyah, and Aidonia. Aidonia tune "ah you" Vybez Cartel tune "catch yuh breath". In 2006 77klash teamed up Jahdan and Team Shadetek to make an underground cult classic "Brooklyn Anthem" on Sound Ink Records. The record sold 2,500 copies within the first two weeks of its release (all vinyl). "Brooklyn Anthem" became a groundbreaking record, the first of its kind!
