A collector of or specialist in phonograph
records.
Dave Richards (aka: discophile, DJ dave, DJ magnetic tape...) began collecting records at age 6 when his big brother gave him his collection of AC/DC records. The first mix tape came not long after. A life long collector of all things recorded, and a DJ since '92 he has spent the last 10 years focusing his DJ energies on House Music and Down-Tempo Sets. Performing with a true dedication to the music and not the hype, discophile's sets are technically flawless, refreshingly eclectic, and pure dance floor energy. Pulling from the deep deep crates of a vast record collection Dave layers both old and new into a seamless sonic backdrop. Working for over the past decade to bring great music to the world Dave can be credited with the following: co-Founder of the Seattle based collective: De La Creme Sound System, half owner of northwest indie label: Clickpop Records, and owner of Bellingham record lovers heaven: Sonic Index.
