I'm not very good at taking naps over 15 minutes long, unless I haven't slept the night before. I can easily entertain myself. I feel better about life when my email box isn't full. Almost always, I listen to iTunes on party shuffle. I've been known to leave my toothpaste on the top shelf of my bedroom closet. I sometimes like books more than people.

So I come home Friday. It's been a long day, and I'm trying to hurry up and get ready to leave for the weekend. And then I see something on my front porch. A little something from Amazon.com. Emily, thank you thank you thank you! I am so touched by the gift and the gesture. You are always thinking of others. I am blessed to know you. Thanks for making this birthday a great one! Emily, oh how I miss thee. Incidents worth reporting: I killed my favorite plant. I'm definitely not getting a raise. I learned to make sushi while listening to St. Germain.

heck yeah! I get to see you next week! This just in - while Michigan is super warm right now, it looks like potential snow next week. Def initely check the weather before you leave - it's crazy here!!!
